For as long as I can remember, my skin has been oily. And, I mean, OILY, like fry some chicken nuggets on my nose in the summer kinda oily, gross, I know. (The skin, not the nuggets, those are always delish.)
Imagine my shock when I came to realized that I was actually interested in trying out some dewier skin care products this summer… I was in Pakistan a few months ago and the extreme heat was really HELPING my skin… it was the strangest thing but the hot, humid weather was pulling all the dirt and oil out of my skin , leaving my skin at it’s all time best! Woo Hoo! I got back to Canada a while ago and the cold air wasn’t helping to preserve my new supermodel skin, so I decided to try out some new products to help add that glowing goddess look back!
The first product that I’ve been using RELIGIOUSLY for the past few months, morning and night, is the Bobby Brown EXTRA Face Oil. I’ve always been terrified of face oils and my traumatic experience with the Tarte Maracuja Oil wasn’t helping… Continue reading
I’m a 20 year old, university going, beauty blogger and vlogger. I think it’s safe to say I spend about 80% of my days in my bedroom. This is my happy place.
And, considering I spend so much time in here, I like having pretty things to look at, and clean things are prettier than dusty old things. I’m not a neat freak, but I appreciate a good Spring Cleaning as much as the next gal!
A specific problem area of mine I’ve been meaning to work on for weeks now is my makeup brush collection. If you’ve read my post about what a Makeup Addict I am, you’ll know what I’m talking about. If not, check it out, here!
My biggest problem with my brushes was A) There were just too many of them and they wouldn’t fit in the DIY Brush Holders I made them and B) They were filthy. Cleaning makeup brushes is definitely one of those daunting tasks that I try to avoid for as long as possible.
But it eventually had to be done so here’s how it went down… Continue reading
If you’ve been following my blog, or YouTube channel, or social media, for a while you’ll know this year hasn’t been the best in terms of my health. I hate taking breaks from doing what I love but I do have to put my health and safety first! While I’ve been in bed sick, I haven’t been wearing much makeup but I have been loving trying out new skin care products! It’s a lot easier being in waiting rooms and doctors offices for hours without a full face on, and it’s easier to nap without looking like a panda. One of the newest products I’ve tried is the VIIcode O2M Oxygen Eye Mask.
As you know, I have super puffy and dark under eye circles, so anything to lend a helping hand is much appreciated.
I went through my usual night time skin care routine and then applied this mask right before bed, you can keep it on for a full 8 hours! My initial reaction was “Well, this is cold.. in the best way possible!” I love masks that have a cooling or warming effect, I like feeling like they’re really doing something! Continue reading
About 3 months ago I shared with you my thoughts and a little demo on the Loreal Brow Plumper, it’s since been my most read post and I see people are still going back to it months later! I’m so glad you’ve all enjoying that post!
And, when I saw another new brow product at the drugstore I knew I just had to test it out for you.
So, today I’ll be sharing with you my thoughts, a demo, and some pictures on the Maybelline Brow Define and Fill Duo by Eyestudio. I got the shade deep brown, there are 4 in total which is pretty great for a drugstore brow product, and a brow filler in general. These retail for about $10 (CAD) but I’m sure prices will vary depending on where you find yours.
Let’s start with what my brows look like when they’re brushed out, but have nothing in them.. I do thread my brows every few weeks and I have decided to keep the shape a bit fuller than I used to..
Hello my loves!
I’m so glad you’re all enjoying my planner posts and planner videos! If you’d like to see more posts like this, please do let me know and please follow my blog to see more content! Planning is so fun and I made my first sheet of homemade stickers today! When I say homemade, I mean I took a bunch of different stickers from other pages, Pinterest, blogs, Google images, ect, and fit them all on one page. I know how hard it was to find my own full sheet of girly, fun stickers so I thought some of you might find this helpful. I tried to find images that relate to Kate Spade, that’s the general theme of my planner! 🙂
Welcome Back! I recently saw Elle Fowler and Belinda Selene create the planner addict tag, and I thought I would answer some of the questions for you here! Enjoy.
1.) How many planners do you have/own?
I usually switch planners at the start of every school year, not calendar year, and I’ve used a planner since the first grade, you do the math. I’m pretty sure my mom has kept a few of my planners from grade school, but I’m not sure where they are right now… I do have my high school planners and the ones I’ve used since the start of University. Here’s what my planner from 2012 looks like, I was in my senior year of high school! I found this gem at PINK by Victorias Secret and we had a lovely time together. Fun Fact: I only started using the monthly view page of my planners this year, I use to find them so strange before! LOL
2.) How many planner do you actually use at one time?
One! I use my planner to eliminate stress and anxiety, having more than one would be totally counterproductive. To see the planner I’ll be using starting August 2015, click HERE.
3.) When did you first start using a paper planner?
First grade! I started real young. Continue reading
First off, sorry I went MIA for a bit, I’ve been pretty sick and definitely feeling under the weather but one thing I ALWAYS find myself doing when I’m home sick is online shopping! I decided to order my first Glossybox a few weeks ago and it just came in the mail. I thought I would photograph the process of opening my first box and share with you all what was inside, how I feel about the products, and the service in general.
I had ordered my box on April 28th and got my box on May 20th, assuming I would get the May box, which wasn’t the case. What I received was the April 2015 box, but in the original pink Glossybox packaging, not the limited edition box they had for most of the other April boxes, confusing, I know. Considering how late in April I ordered my box, it was kinda strange to me to get products I had seen featured on their website already. And, considering I got my APRIL box during the third week of MAY.. there is definitely some service issue that needs to be fixed. This box came to $21 USD with an addition $5 for shipping. This was the American cost, and considering I’m in Canada, I paid a total of $32.41, Canadian, which is way more than I was expecting. Regardless, I was excited to get my first box and see what this hype was all about. Here’s how it went… Continue reading
Today I’m sharing my thoughts on the Bioré Deep Cleansing Charcoal Pore Strips!
I received a sample of this product a while back, attached to the Bioré Charcoal Facial Cleanser (which I LOVE) and I was going to try it out to see if I should bother purchasing the product or not, here’s how it went…
Here are the instructions that came on the back of the pouch, and how I went about them,
Note: I apologize for the blurriness of this picture, I just wanted to share what the pouch I received looked like, and I have copied out the instructions for you below.
Step 1: Remove strip from pouch, and twist to separate the slits.I personally didn’t see all the slits at first since the strip was black, but you can see them easier when you twist it from the plastic side, there are 6 slits in total. Here’s what the strip looks like before.
I hope you’re having an amazing day!
I recently picked up the Loreal Paris Brow Plumper by Brow Stylist and thought I would share my thoughts and a little brow demo for you all! *I have the shade medium to deep, there is also a light to medium and a transparent formula, this product sells for approximately $11 in Canada.*
Let’s start with some pictures and a demo! Be sure to read to the end for my application tips, wear time, and more on this product.
Here is what my brows look like naturally, I have the rest of my eye and face makeup done but have done nothing to my brows. *All photos have been taken in natural daylight, and have no filter, I hope that helps you when selecting a colour for this product!*
I wanted to take full advantage of the Sephora VIB sale this year and get some products I’ve been wanting to try out and review them for you gals!
One product I’ve been hearing about left and right lately was the Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water, we all know I’m a huge fan of my primers. A primer is a layer of makeup that you apply after your moisturizer and skin care routine, before your foundation or concealer. Each primer is created differently to do something different for your skin but their main goal is to help your makeup stay put longer throughout the day, even out the texture of your skin, and avoid any creasing or fading. *To learn more about primers and read my post on my other favourite primers, click HERE*
Being the primer fanatic I am, I just had to give this stuff a try and my initial thoughts? Oh My Goodness Gracious. HEAVEN. Continue reading
