For as long as I can remember, my skin has been oily. And, I mean, OILY, like fry some chicken nuggets on my nose in the summer kinda oily, gross, I know. (The skin, not the nuggets, those are always delish.)
Imagine my shock when I came to realized that I was actually interested in trying out some dewier skin care products this summer… I was in Pakistan a few months ago and the extreme heat was really HELPING my skin… it was the strangest thing but the hot, humid weather was pulling all the dirt and oil out of my skin , leaving my skin at it’s all time best! Woo Hoo! I got back to Canada a while ago and the cold air wasn’t helping to preserve my new supermodel skin, so I decided to try out some new products to help add that glowing goddess look back!
The first product that I’ve been using RELIGIOUSLY for the past few months, morning and night, is the Bobby Brown EXTRA Face Oil. I’ve always been terrified of face oils and my traumatic experience with the Tarte Maracuja Oil wasn’t helping… Continue reading
About 3 months ago I shared with you my thoughts and a little demo on the Loreal Brow Plumper, it’s since been my most read post and I see people are still going back to it months later! I’m so glad you’ve all enjoying that post!
And, when I saw another new brow product at the drugstore I knew I just had to test it out for you.
So, today I’ll be sharing with you my thoughts, a demo, and some pictures on the Maybelline Brow Define and Fill Duo by Eyestudio. I got the shade deep brown, there are 4 in total which is pretty great for a drugstore brow product, and a brow filler in general. These retail for about $10 (CAD) but I’m sure prices will vary depending on where you find yours.
Let’s start with what my brows look like when they’re brushed out, but have nothing in them.. I do thread my brows every few weeks and I have decided to keep the shape a bit fuller than I used to..
First off, sorry I went MIA for a bit, I’ve been pretty sick and definitely feeling under the weather but one thing I ALWAYS find myself doing when I’m home sick is online shopping! I decided to order my first Glossybox a few weeks ago and it just came in the mail. I thought I would photograph the process of opening my first box and share with you all what was inside, how I feel about the products, and the service in general.
I had ordered my box on April 28th and got my box on May 20th, assuming I would get the May box, which wasn’t the case. What I received was the April 2015 box, but in the original pink Glossybox packaging, not the limited edition box they had for most of the other April boxes, confusing, I know. Considering how late in April I ordered my box, it was kinda strange to me to get products I had seen featured on their website already. And, considering I got my APRIL box during the third week of MAY.. there is definitely some service issue that needs to be fixed. This box came to $21 USD with an addition $5 for shipping. This was the American cost, and considering I’m in Canada, I paid a total of $32.41, Canadian, which is way more than I was expecting. Regardless, I was excited to get my first box and see what this hype was all about. Here’s how it went… Continue reading
You’re probably asking yourself a million questions right now, who is this Gimmemymascara girl? What’s she like? What’s her story? I’ve decided to share myself with you by answering a list of Beauty Blogger related questions. Without further ado, here we go!
1. Is your hair naturally curly or straight?
Neither. It’s uncontrollable and has a mind of its own. It can be pin straight one day and VERY wavy the next.. Sometimes it likes to play along and dries into soft waves.
2. What is your natural hair colour?
Dark brown, almost black!
3. Do you dye it yourself or go to a salon?
A salon, always.
4. How often do you wash your hair?
About 2-3 times a week, which is scientifically the healthiest for your hair (at least that’s what twitter said. ;)) The other days I just spray in some dry shampoo and I am good to go! To read about my full hair care routine, click HERE.
5. Do you wear the same style every day or change it?
I think the whole point of beauty and fashion is self expression. I love my basic pieces and do have a defined style to a degree but I am always willing to try something new, especially with my makeup! Continue reading
My name is Anisa and I am a makeup addict.
Group: Hi Anisa
Councillor: Let’s hear your story, what brings you here?
Well, I knew I was an addict when I was sitting in the library at school writing a blog post about DIY face moisturizers and masks when I decided I needed a pen to jot something into my agenda. I unzipped the smaller pouch of my backpack and saw my Kardashian Khroma lipgloss in wildflower honey, which I totally forget I even had. I pushed it aside and there was my $31 Dior Addict lipgloss under it, and another under that. I decided it would be easier to take all the lip products out of my bag to find my pen and then, well, then this happened.
