2016-2017 Kate Spade New York, Large 17 Month Planner, First Look & Review | Gimmemymascara

2016 planners are coming in and I am beyond excited! If you’ve read my About Anisa section before, you’ll know that I love my planner and I have to write down EVERYTHING. I just wouldn’t be able to remember things without it and I think the colour coordinated events and classes look so fun!

I went to Chapters the other day and found the 2016 Kate Spade planners! My 2015 planner was also by Kate Spade and I loved the size, the layout, and way I was able to organize it so I OBVIOUSLY had to pick one up! I thought I would show you all the planner, and the set up inside before I started jotting down notes and classes. *To see the sticker sheet I’ve put together to use with this planner, also Kate Spade inspired, click HERE*

Here’s what the front and back cover looks like, how fun are these?!

When you flip open the planner, the first few pages look like this:

Your first page, which is the back side of the front cover is this gorgeous taupe grey with a spot for your name and number if you ever lose your planner. This planner also comes with a section to hold loose papers and notes…

Next, you have a section for your yearly view, which I must admit I don’t find myself using too often but it’s still nice to have!

After that you have the space to write in some special occasions or dates for each month…

IMG_1578Next comes a list of the 2016 holidays and a few pages for notes. I always find myself writing general notes, ideas, thoughts, and important information here, it’s easiest to keep everything in one place! IMG_1579The next few pictures are of the individual planning sections.

The pages before the monthly calendar starts are the black polka dots, I think these are super cute and super fun! IMG_1580The monthly view is the same as previous Kate Spade planners. I personally love the size of these boxes, I think it’s not too big but big enough to fit all my plans into!

IMG_1581After that comes the weekly view! I think I use this space the most, especially when I’m in the middle of a semester and I need to know what to do, and when for! IMG_1583

The last page of this planner is the same taupe grey from the front and I thought I would show you all how I used that blank space in my last planner! I simply took a coloured envelope, decorated it with a gold sharpie and stuck it on! I used this space to hold small papers, business cards, receipts, or tickets for when I had a book out from the library!   IMG_1588If you’d like to see how I decorate my planner for 2016, or how I keep my everything organized, give this post a “like” or tweet me with what you’d like see to see next! xoxo

  3. Hello!
What made you decide on the large size? I know I definitely want this planner, but I’m having the hardest time deciding between the medium and large. I’m a college student, so I will need a lot of room to write down times of classes, organizations, meetings, etc., but I also don’t want something big and bulky that will take up room in my backpack and won’t fit very well in a purse. What are your thoughts?
    Thanks!

    • Hey! I’m in university and when I bought my first Kate spade planner this was the only one they had in stock, so I got the large but I love the size! That’s why I went for the large again this year! I take a purse some days and a backpack others, and it fits in everything! I definitely use all the lines for homework and personal events so I could never use a medium! I’d say go for the large! It really isn’t that big!
