Bioré Deep Cleansing Charcoal Pore Strips- First Impressions, How To, & Review | Gimmemymascara

Today I’m sharing my thoughts on the Bioré Deep Cleansing Charcoal Pore Strips!

I received a sample of this product a while back, attached to the Bioré Charcoal Facial Cleanser (which I LOVE) and I was going to try it out to see if I should bother purchasing the product or not, here’s how it went…

Here are the instructions that came on the back of the pouch, and how I went about them,

Note: I apologize for the blurriness of this picture, I just wanted to share what the pouch I received looked like, and I have copied out the instructions for you below.

Step 1: Remove strip from pouch, and twist to separate the slits.I personally didn’t see all the slits at first since the strip was black, but you can see them easier when you twist it from the plastic side, there are 6 slits in total. Here’s what the strip looks like before. IMG_5230

Step 2: After washing your face, thoroughly wet your nose. The strip won’t stick on a dry nose.I think I mis understood how big this strip was and I didn’t wet the sides of my nose as much or my cheek area next to my nose, which I should have. Because of this, I did see the strip was sicking to some parts of my nose better than others.

Step 3: Dry your hands. Peel strip off the plastic and apply to the nose, smooth down sides, press down to ensure contact. This part was rather simple. I thought the strip was easy enough to apply, it did stick well, even though I didn’t fully wet my nose. The slits really helped it sit well, and comfortably.

Step 4: Let dry for 10-15 minutes until stiff to the touch, like papier mache. I kept my strip on for 12 minutes, but I’m sure that time differs per person. The easiest way to check is simply try scrunching your nose, can’t do it? it’s ready.

Step 5: Peel off slowly, started at the edges and pull towards to center.Rinse skin to remove any residue. This was the part I was most scared for, I thought it would really hurt, but it wasn’t painful at all! Here’s an after of my pore strip! I would never share the gross side with you, don’t worry.

The Results:

The strip was almost completely WHITE when I took it off, I could definitely see the dead skin and gunk that came off my nose. Gross. Super gross..

Once I rinsed my skin off, I thought the results were amazing! My skin felt smooth, hydrated, clean, and gunk free.. I felt like I just got a nose job or something! I also had a lot of small bumps on my nose before which were reduced, by a lot. The results were definitely noticeable and soo worth the 12 minutes this took! I wouldn’t recommend something like this for everyday use, that might be a bit too strong for your skin but maybe once a week or every few weeks, that’d be perfect.

All in all, this product is already on my shopping list and I am excited about it! I think something like this is perfect if you have oily skin, since it does help control oils, and for the summer to unclog your skin from sweat and gunk. It’s got my vote!

Have you tried these pore strips? Or any others? What should I try out next? Let me know in a comment below, or tweet me @Gimmemymascara xoxo Anisa
