First off, THANK YOU for all the support on my last post, it’s my most viewed post so far and I’m so glad you’re all loving it!
As promised, here’s an update on the Tarte Maracuja Oil for you all! If you’ve read my first post on this product, which you can find HERE, you’ll know I was not a fan of this product when I first tried it.
I do have oily skin and was super spectacle on how an oil would work for me, but I figured it was worth a try and I needed to form an opinion for myself. #ControlFreak
About a month later, I will say, I really haven’t used this product much…
I did notice 2-3 drops is more than enough to cover the whole face and down the neck, no not use more than that or it will turn into a disaster. I also liked applying the product to the back of my hands, rubbing it in just a bit, and then patting it onto my cheeks, chin, temples, and sides of my nose. I chose not to use this product near my eyes at all because of the scent, and no where near the bridge or tip of my nose, because it was just too greasy for me.
I also only use this product every few days, and only at night so it can do it’s thing and then I can shower and wash it off the next morning. I did try this product in the day one time but my face makeup just didn’t sit very well over it, even with primers and such.
I do think it’s worth mentioning that my thoughts in this post are only for the Oil. As you may know, I did buy the Bright by Night Skincare Discovery Set which is the duo of the Oil and the Maracuja C Brightener Eye Treatment, which I really do like, it’s been working great so far!
Overall, I think I’ll be using the oil once every few weeks, maybe every other week, but not much more than that. I didn’t notice any major differences in the way my skin looked or felt, other than greasy once I applied. You might be able to see some minor differences but this product was more of a hassle for me personally. Sorry to say it, but not something I’ll be re purchasing in the future.
That’s all for now folks! What would you like to hear about next? Is there something I should try? Comment below or Tweet me! xoxo Anisa
