Hello, and welcome back!
If you’ve been following my blog, or YouTube channels for a while you’ll know how obsessed I am with Kate Spade! (Follow this link to see previous Kate Spade planner posts of mine.. planner review, and DIY Kate Spade planner stickers!) I’ve used their planners for years now and my room is decorated with their handbags. I love their accessories and their way of life; confident and colourful, fun, yet sophisticated- it’s everything I stand for. So- you can imagine my dismay when I tried to place an order for a new planner on their website and came across the WORST online customer service of my online shopping life.
I was heartbroken.
Here’s how it went down… Continue reading
As you can tell by my last post, I’ve recently dipped my toes into the life of dewy, highlighted skin for the summer. As part of this new skin journey, I’ve decided to try out the Huda Beauty 3D Highlighter Palette in Gold Sands, and my initial thoughts; CHUNKY. More insight, and pictures, coming soon! xoxo Anisa

For as long as I can remember, my skin has been oily. And, I mean, OILY, like fry some chicken nuggets on my nose in the summer kinda oily, gross, I know. (The skin, not the nuggets, those are always delish.)
Imagine my shock when I came to realized that I was actually interested in trying out some dewier skin care products this summer… I was in Pakistan a few months ago and the extreme heat was really HELPING my skin… it was the strangest thing but the hot, humid weather was pulling all the dirt and oil out of my skin , leaving my skin at it’s all time best! Woo Hoo! I got back to Canada a while ago and the cold air wasn’t helping to preserve my new supermodel skin, so I decided to try out some new products to help add that glowing goddess look back!
The first product that I’ve been using RELIGIOUSLY for the past few months, morning and night, is the Bobby Brown EXTRA Face Oil. I’ve always been terrified of face oils and my traumatic experience with the Tarte Maracuja Oil wasn’t helping… Continue reading
Organizing, for the unorganized.
You have as many hours in a day as Beyonce.
And, you CAN accomplish everything on your to do list for the day.
*Do not add winning a grammy to that list and you’ll be fine*
I’m not crazy, swear it.
If you’re thinking “like I could ever accomplish everything that Queen Bee does, even if I tried.” Well, I’m here to tell you, and teach you, that you can.
Time management is just one of those things that everyone, including myself, struggles with. And organizing your time, is organizing your LIFE. Dramatic, I know, but it’s true and you know it is.
PS- I’ve been thinking of writing this post for about a month, and just never found the “time” to do it. But here I am, taking my own advice, and getting to it! You’re welcome.
So, here’s the deal…. Continue reading
I’m a 20 year old, university going, beauty blogger and vlogger. I think it’s safe to say I spend about 80% of my days in my bedroom. This is my happy place.
And, considering I spend so much time in here, I like having pretty things to look at, and clean things are prettier than dusty old things. I’m not a neat freak, but I appreciate a good Spring Cleaning as much as the next gal!
A specific problem area of mine I’ve been meaning to work on for weeks now is my makeup brush collection. If you’ve read my post about what a Makeup Addict I am, you’ll know what I’m talking about. If not, check it out, here!
My biggest problem with my brushes was A) There were just too many of them and they wouldn’t fit in the DIY Brush Holders I made them and B) They were filthy. Cleaning makeup brushes is definitely one of those daunting tasks that I try to avoid for as long as possible.
But it eventually had to be done so here’s how it went down… Continue reading
Hello and welcome back to Gimmemymascara!
I know I’ve been absent for quite a while but I woke up this morning to a notification from WordPress letting me know how well my blog has been doing, even in my absence, and how my views were sky rocketing! WOAH! That’s definitely one way to help me out of bed on a #HumpDay! I went through my stats to notice planner related posts are what y’all are loving most right now, and today being the Erin Condren Life Planner release day, I thought a planner post was fitting!
I got word of the EC release last week, and while bloggers like Elle Fowler were raving about the new planners, I thought of how much I would really use a vertical planner and how it would fit into my day to day life. I also remembered I had bought the MAMBI 365 Happy Planner at Michaels a few months back while it was on sale and I thought I would use it this week as a test run for the EC. Here’s how the week’s going so far:
A) FULL BOX STICKERS!!! I recently got a few of the full box stickers from ItsJustPaperCo during one of her ToonieTuesday sales and i’ve been itching to use them! This week I used the Welcome to Paradise collection and having a full row of full box stickers in the center of my planner has been so fun and colourful! I’ve always thought full boxes took up too much room but it’s summer, and I really don’t have all that much going on this week, so it worked out perfectly! So far so good.
**I didn’t think I was doing a post on this spread so I didn’t bother taking any pictures of it before the pen! I’m sorry I can’t show you the whole thing, for privacy reasons, but here’s what I do have..**
If you’ve been following my blog, or YouTube channel, or social media, for a while you’ll know this year hasn’t been the best in terms of my health. I hate taking breaks from doing what I love but I do have to put my health and safety first! While I’ve been in bed sick, I haven’t been wearing much makeup but I have been loving trying out new skin care products! It’s a lot easier being in waiting rooms and doctors offices for hours without a full face on, and it’s easier to nap without looking like a panda. One of the newest products I’ve tried is the VIIcode O2M Oxygen Eye Mask.
As you know, I have super puffy and dark under eye circles, so anything to lend a helping hand is much appreciated.
I went through my usual night time skin care routine and then applied this mask right before bed, you can keep it on for a full 8 hours! My initial reaction was “Well, this is cold.. in the best way possible!” I love masks that have a cooling or warming effect, I like feeling like they’re really doing something! Continue reading
Lades and Gentlemen,
I have found the newest, hottest, most pigmented, most versatile, drugstore palette. Not an eyeshadow palette, a set of DRUGSTORE face palettes! WHAT?! Yup.
ELF Cosmetics recently came out with FOUR brand new Studio Palettes, featuring four shades each. They have two blush palettes, a lighter option and a darker one. They also have a contour palette and a bronzer option! I purchased 3 of the 4 and here’s what I thought…
Each of the powders is pretty finely milled and easy to blend, the powders stay on just as well as any high end ones i’ve personally tried and the shades are super versatile for any skin tone. I love that each palette comes with four shades so you can mix and match each one to fit your needs. Overall, I love each of the 3 palettes I purchased and here’s why..

As promised, here are the stickers I made myself for my August 2015 monthly view! I use the Large Kate Spade planner, and this month’s decor was inspired by Lilly Pulitzer! I do keep my stickers to a minimal and leave myself lots of room to write in, but here’s what I came up with.. To see the full spread, check out my Plan With Me video on YouTube!
As always, these are other people’s images that I found on google and pasted together in a word document. I did NOT draw anything you see here, and do not wish to take credit for any else’s work! I’m simply sharing the exact images with you since so many of you have asked me to!
I’ve also uploaded another sheet of stickers, inspired by both Lilly Pulitzer and Kate Spade, feel free to mix and match the sheets together!
Enjoy. xoxo Anisa
